To support the Programme Manager to implement the regional strategy in Central and Eastern Europe.
To support the Program me Manager in the partnership prospecting in Central and Eastern Europe in accordance with the regional strategy and in compliance with the Foundation's internal procedures.
To support partners in articulating their grant activities in proposals, prepare grant selection files for internal approval, and liaise with partners to ensure smooth communications throughout the approval process.
To Support Operations and Finance teams with compliance, due diligence, grant agreement negotiation, financial administration, and project evaluations.
To monitor partner reporting and grant burn rate to spot early signs of implementation difficulty.
To organise site visits.
To build trust-based partnerships with partners.
To organize, with the team, seminars, webinars, and other non-financial support activities for partners.
To contribute to the creation of content for internal (and external when appropriate) communication and lead internal presentations and events.
To participate in the development and execution of the Fondation CHANEL's communication plan, with a focus on creating content for internal dissemination.
To collaborate and liaise with the USA, Asia, and UK foundation teams on various cross-functional initiatives.
To participate and coordinate learning evaluations with the global operations team, including procurements and insights dissemination.

As part of the development of its activities in Central and Eastern Europe (and in particular Croatia , Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), the Foundation is looking for an innovative and passionate Central and Eastern Europe Programme Officer to join the regional foundation team in Paris.
What impact you can create at Chanel :
As part of Fondation CHANEL, the Central and Eastern Europe Programme Officer will work collaboratively with the entire foundation team, based in London, New York, Paris, Mexico City and Singapore, and maintain a cross-functional relationship with the Operations, Finance, and Communications Departments, as well as key stakeholders within CHANEL. This position reports to the Central and Eastern Europe Program me Manager.

In addition, you will be involved in the day-to-day life of the Europe Programme and the foundation as a whole and will be in regular contact with team members in the UK, US, and Singapore.
Frequent travel in France and Central and Eastern Europe (30% of working time).
What you will bring to the role and what you will gain from this experience :
Know-how
- Knowledge and passion for gender equality, including work experience in the areas of gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health rights, grassroots climate adaptation, or the care economy.
- Excellent knowledge of Central and Eastern Europe (political issues related to the mission of the CHANEL Foundation, civil society, and stakeholders)
- University degree in social sciences, humanities, international relations, or another relevant field.
- You have at least 4-5 years' professional experience in the non-profit community (for example multi-lateral, NGO, or foundation).
- You have experience in managing partnerships and know how to work in a network and independently.
- You are curious, open-minded, empathetic, a good listener and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in English (knowledge of French, Romanes, or Central Eastern European languages will be considered an asset).
- International experience, especially in the Central and Eastern Europe region, is highly desirable.
