We provide full-service planning, design and construction management services on everything from schools and roadways to healthcare facilities and utility infrastructure.

      General Summary: The Group Manager will be responsible for overall project planning, monitoring, and control for the delivery of engineering service projects to multiple utility providers. They will have a team reporting directly to them. The Group Manager will report to the Department Manager of Project Delivery. They will work with Project Managers, Project Leads, Project Manager Assistants, and the Permit Team. They will work to establish, review, report, update, and assure conformance to project plans to meet our customer's requirements. The Group Manager will utilize our enterprise financial and project management information systems to develop and/or monitor proposal and project milestone schedules, task and action item plans, resource plans and forecasts, project budgets and forecasts, financial performance reports, and accounts receivables. The Group Manager will also perform as a Project Manager on designated projects, as well as assist the Department Manager with assigned management tasks.

      Who you are

      • You're an Experienced Project Manager with Group Management experience. Highly-motivated with Exceptional organizational abilities in a dynamic environment, a disciplined approach to accomplishing objectives and achieving results, effective communication and team-building skills, and a knowledge of project management principles.
      • Your qualifications and experience are impressive. You have a PMP and a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering Management, Project Management, or Electrical/Systems/Mechanical/Civil Engineering with five years of relevant experience. Essential requirements for the position include exceptional organizational abilities in a dynamic environment, a disciplined approach to accomplishing objectives and achieving results, effective communication and team building skills, and a knowledge of project management principles. Previous experience with Deltek Vision and/or Newforma is a plus.
      • You're a people person. You have a positive attitude and enjoy developing relationships with staff and clients alike. You have exceptional presentation skills and a proven ability to mentor and lead a team.


      What you'll do

      • You'll be accountable for the success of your group. You will mentor and develop the talent in your group both technically and in the softer skills. Working with Project Managers and Department Managers to establish, review, report, update, and assure conformance to project plans to meet our customer's requirements. Utilize our enterprise financial and project management information systems to develop and/or monitor proposal and project milestone schedules, task and action item plans, resource plans and forecasts, project budgets and forecasts, financial performance reports, and accounts receivables.
      • You'll lead signature proposals and projects. You will contribute to or lead signature and complex projects for key clients ensuring that the team is successfully meeting the client's objectives. You'll also perform independent reviews of work performed by others.
      • You'll enhance our reputation. Our clients' trust is critically important to us. You'll ensure that Primera's management systems and processes for keeping this trust are followed and continually improved. You will act promptly to identify and manage risks and opportunities in achieving client satisfaction.
      • You'll share our passion for learning and growth. You will continue to learn and grow while also developing, sharing, and educating our staff in project management and engineering best practices, knowledge, and tools.
