      Inside the Role

      The Vehicle Connectivity (on-board) and Connectivity team works closely with business partners, IT and the global engineering organization to provide customer oriented world class Connectivity software & hardware solutions for Daimler Truck vehicles, worldwide. By utilizing globally distributed teams and resources, we develop market-leading vehicle connectivity solutions.

      The successful candidate will design and develop on-board connectivity software and hardware solution by bringing together customer requirements, vehicle engineering expertise and by collaborating with various engineering teams, suppliers and partners. You will own and represent on-board telematics controller in all engineering and manufacturing forums.

      Position offers a starting salary range of $82,000-104,500 USD

      Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

      What You Drive at DTNA

      • Develop customer focused on-board telematics solutions in collaboration with local and global teams, suppliers and development partners
      • Develop on-board connectivity software by driving requirement engineering, develop SW in collaboration and drive feature validation including vehicle validation
      • Be a component expert and represent Telematics components on a various engineering and manufacturing forums and support component integration


      Knowledge You Should Bring

      • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or computer science or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience
      • Experience with automotive CAN and Ethernet networks
      • Experience with DoCAN and DoIP diagnostics
      • Experience with identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems
      • Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams & stakeholders
      • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others via collaboration and good team work skills
      • Experience with Linux OS, AUTOSAR based ECU development
      • Experience with ECU flash programming
      • Experience with product / feature development and development processes
      • Experience with software development such as C, C++ or Java
      • Experience with collaboration tools Jira and Confluence

      Exceptional Candidates Might Have

      • Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and or Computer Science
      • 2-4 years of Software, Feature, and or Component development experience in the automotive field
