      Position Summary

      Evoqua is hiring for a Project Engineer for our location in Tewksbury, MA to support our water treatment equipment and their internal components and accessories specific to Ozone, UV, and Chlorination Systems.

      Core Responsibilities and Tasks

      • Perform process calculations to size, or verify sizing, of water treatment equipment and their internal components and accessories to customer supplied specification specific to Ozone, UV, and Chlorination Systems.
      • Support Capital Sales by providing labor hour estimates for engineering and design related to the equipment being proposed.
      • Creating part numbers and bills of material in SAP as well as the preparation of drawings for products sold to meet project specification.
      • Submitting drawings to customers where approval is required, monitoring the approval process, and creating releases when approval is complete. Drawings and specifications are to reflect all customer requirements as stipulated in their purchase order/specifications.
      • Prepare and submit operating and maintenance manuals for equipment sold where required by customer purchase order/specifications.
      • Support the product Engineering Change Notice (ECN) system for currently sold items, creating and releasing new ECNs where necessary and advantageous. Reasons may include product improvement, cost reduction, compliance with newly produced regulations, and the like. Included is supervising the creation or change of engineering drawings to support the change.
      • Provide on-site manufacturing engineering support, responding to concerns as required, and capturing detailed report of findings. In addition, be familiar with basic safety knowledge and have, or obtain, required safety equipment such as Nomex coveralls, steel toe work boots, hard hat and safety glasses.
      • Assist customers that request troubleshooting of their systems for Capital Municipal Projects, making suggestions for resolving issues and identifying opportunities to sell additional equipment.


      Position Requirements

      • BS degree in a major engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution in Engineering is required.
      • 2-5 years of experience
      • Manufacturing Experience in past working Environment
      • Testing/Troubleshooting Experience with Mechanical/Electrical Systems and/or Skids
      • Working knowledge of pretreatment and water disinfection, or willingness to be trained.
      • Application of major codes and standards, such as ASME Sect. V111, Div. 1, ANSI B31.1, NACE, AWWA, SSPC, etc, or willingness to be trained.
      • Working knowledge of the engineer’s role in SAP as a business system, or willingness to be trained.
      • Working knowledge of specification adherence and procurement, or willingness to be trained.
      • Application of CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD), or willingness to be trained.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
      • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
      • Ability and willingness to work on industrial/municipal sites within Evoqua’s and customer’s safety program
      • Physically fit to access equipment externally via ladders and platforms, and enter pressure vessels through manways.
