- Delivers a project that is safe, sustainable, on time and within budget.
- Work with the project management team in supporting the engineering goals of the project.
- Will demonstrate strong leadership skills in making timely decisions and steering the project towards success. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with penchant to develop strong client relationship.
- Monitor and manage the project resources to meet the quality, project schedule and commitments.
- Work with the systems team on establishing the tools requirement for the project.
- Well rounded technical knowledge in all disciplines with a good understanding in the engineering sequencing of work-flow as applicable to Nuclear Projects being run for Canadian Nuclear Power Plants (NPP).
- Good familiarity of engineering change control processes at any of the Canadian Nuclear Utilities.
- Preference will be for candidates with experience in the Nuclear industries and a good understanding of the Canadian Nuclear Power Plant Utility processes used and industry standards.
- Working with the disciplines to help make technical decisions, remove roadblocks and progress.
- Be an advocate of the principles of safety to deliver a safe and sustainable design.
- Familiar with the engineering and design process and project delivery for EPC or EPCM projects. This includes front end engineering, cost estimates, gated reviews, detailed engineering and construction.
- Applying principles of safety in design and engineering established by codes or industrial practice.
- Strong understanding of the concept of Fit-for-Purpose delivery of projects and value-based approach through the project lifecycles.
- Work with the customer closely in the engineering requirements of the project and help steer the project for a full alignment with the customer needs.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and business travel to USA.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with significant relevant experience.
- Valid Canadian Nuclear Security Clearance.
- Registered with PEO as a Professional Engineer.

Position Title: Project Engineering Manager.
Purpose:
The PEM will work on FEL3 and detailed engineering phases where there is substantial multidiscipline engineering scope. The PEM will provide the leadership required and support the project delivery team to drive the engineering objectives of the project. This is a pivotal role in the engineering delivery of Nuclear projects.
