What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the design and construction of new space alternative quarters projects, typically under 10,000 SF
- Provide engineering consulting services and technical expertise for construction projects
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and resolve technical problems related to engineering systems
- Participate in project management activities, including testing, start-up, and operation of facilities
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and construction representatives throughout project phases

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical), or Construction Management
- 3-7 years of experience in commercial facility maintenance or a related area
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test, and meet eligibility for Public Trust clearance

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in minor construction or facility alterations
- Previous experience managing projects in a federal or government contracting environment
- Familiarity with postal facility design and construction standards
