      Description

      Heluna Health invites applications for a Project Manager position supporting LA County Department of Public Health’s School COVID-19 Prevention Partnership (SCPP) to ensure continued readiness in response to the spread of COVID-19 and/or other vaccine preventable diseases across K-12 schools in LAC. The Project Manager will report directly to the Chief Program Officer. The Project Manager will supervise/support the Heluna Health project staff to ensure delivery of the SCPP project through managing mini-grants/ subcontracts / work orders to address student health outcome indicators (chronic absenteeism, childhood obesity, social-emotional wellbeing, etc) and to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on K-12 age children.

      The Project Manager should understand the context of assignments and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day project activities and ensure all deliverables and expectations of the project are being met. The Project Manager will provide guidance to project staff (2) and work closely with the Chief Program Officer.

      The Project Manager will demonstrate outstanding leadership skills. The ideal candidate must possess outstanding management skills and experience working with diverse communities.

      In addition, this position requires excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must submit a resume with the application.

      This a temporary, grant-funded, full time, benefited position.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      • Supervise and lead staff
      • Committed member of a multidisciplinary project team in Heluna Health’s SCPP Project Management Office; makes and tracks assignments as assigned from the LAC; develops/refines procedures and communication channels to improve operations; maintains excellent communication/coordination across project team and LADPH and schools, as well as with external partners.
      • Participates on SCPP calls and meetings, including making presentations to LA County
      • Acting as the liaison on behalf of Heluna Health to address all fiscall matter relation to the daily operation of Heluna Health and Subcontractors.
      • Provide fiscal and administrative oversight of funds awarded
      • Assists in responding to queries regarding subcontractor oversight.
      • Assists with preparing written reports or summaries of responses to queries, situation updates, and other issues as assigned.

      JOB QUALIFICATIONS

      • Have a professional, positive attitude and work ethic.
      • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritizing and managing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
      • Minimum one year of supervisory experience, required.
      • Minimum of one year of experience working in project coordination activities.
      • Knowledge, skills and ability to use computer applications and online based systems as part of performing, documenting, and tracking daily work activities and assignments.
      • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
      • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills (technical, and non-technical).

      Education/Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree required
      • Master’s Public Health preferred.
