What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with the Substation Division Manager and teams to define project goals, scope, and specifications
- Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, optimizing for timely achievement of milestones
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns
- Identify potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee commissioning and testing to ensure successful project completion and facilitate client handover
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the HV and MV substation and transmission industry
- Extensive knowledge of HV and MV substation, transmission, and distribution line systems
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Designation as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Experience working with Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS)
