      SUMMARY

      We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for the space industry to lead proposal and capture management across our launch vehicle and spacecraft product lines. This position will be responsible for the development and timely submission of multiple proposals in response to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other solicitation from commercial and government customers, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Space Force (USSF), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), among others. This role is ideally suited to an experienced proposal manager who excels at organizing teams to deliver quality proposals for exciting space-related technology development and service offerings.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Lead and manage development of all proposals in response to solicitations from commercial and government customers, including RFIs, draft RFPs, RFPs, and other solicitations.
      • Ensure timely submission of proposals that are compliant, clear, and contain win themes and discriminators.
      • Lead a collaborative, multidisciplinary team across capture and programs.
      • Lead individual proposal efforts as Proposal Manager.
      • Support the business development team in customer RFP shaping, strategy, and development of capture-related products.
      • Work with the Capture Manager, Program Manager, and broader team to develop the proposal win strategy, win themes, strategic messages, discriminators and key features of offerings.
      • Develop and execute a proposal development plan to include roles and responsibilities for all members of the proposal team, development schedule (including kickoff, color team reviews, and status check-ins), and virtual workspace for proposal execution and configuration control.
      • Perform writing tasks as required to support proposal development.
      • Develop a proposal creation through delivery process with a feedback loop and be accountable for all proposal activities across the company.
      • Ensure planning and execution of color team reviews (Pink Team, Red Team, Gold Team, etc.) and appropriate leadership approval for submission.
      • Ensure compliance with solicitation documents through review of proposal content.
      • Finalize proposal documents and ensure timely delivery to the customer.
      • Conduct after action reviews (AARs) for each proposal and document lessons learned to enhance proposal win rate and ease of preparation.
      • Report proposal status and win-rate metrics to leadership on a periodic and timely basis.
      • Lead development and implementation of capture management policies, procedures, and best practices, and mentor capture and program staff on proposal development.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Required

      • Bachelors’ degree with at least 10 years’ relevant aerospace industry experience.
      • Minimum 7 years’ experience in proposal writing and management, preferably across both government and commercial opportunities.
      • Experience managing competitive proposals of $100M in value or greater.
      • Experience leading proposal volumes and/or performing as a writer on proposals.
      • Experience leading execution of a formal proposal process.
      • Excellent organizational abilities including action item tracking, the ability to meet deadlines, and produce quality work quickly.
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including editing.
      • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to organize, balance, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment.
      • Strong computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite.
      • U.S. Citizenship or green card required.

      Desired

      • Bachelors’ degree in a technical field and/or engineering degree.
      • Experience working in the aerospace industry with a focus on launch or space vehicles.
      • Experience interfacing with government agencies and contracting mechanisms.
      • Proficiency in desktop publishing and graphics execution.
      • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification.
      • Active or prior U.S. security clearance.
