POSITION SUMMARY:

To promote and support individuals to become more independent and to maximize the potential of individuals and families through the provision of quality client-centered services.

• Baltimore, Maryland 21221: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification (Required)
• State of Maryland Nursing License (Required)
• At least 2 years of clinical experience

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:

• None

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate and treat individuals, who present with various mental health, substance abuse and developmental disorders, and provide consultation/collaborative treatment with other treating providers, in & outside of our practice.
• Evaluates and assesses patients, provides a plan of care, prescribes medication for patients with mental health conditions, and serve as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to include nurses, care coordinators, clinicians, and other service providers as needed
• Responsible for documenting in the Electronic Health Record, achieving measures for Meaningful Use, CPT documentation elements, and promoting integrated primary and behavioral healthcare
• Responsible for having a basic understanding of mental health accreditation standards issued by their respected board and must maintain those standards to remain fully licensed by board
• Provision of crisis intervention services to clients/patients as needed
• Crisis intervention may require consultation with additional staff regarding management/treatment concerns, referral, and/or mental health follow-up
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each and every client situation
• Maintain all required licenses and the appropriate insurance
• Participate in and complete all required trainings
• Other duties as assigned
