What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct online tutoring sessions via Upswing's virtual classroom using video, audio, chatbox, and whiteboard features
- Foster independence and develop critical thinking skills in students through tutoring sessions
- Be available to tutor between Sun-Thurs, 6pm - 10pm CST / 5pm-9pm EST
- Complete onboarding process within 2-5 business days, with onboarding time ranging from 60-120 minutes
- Receive payments via PayPal for tutoring services provided

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Subject matter expertise or advanced knowledge in psychology gained through an undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or professional experience
- Reliable, high-speed internet access and a quiet, distraction-free environment for conducting tutoring sessions
- Excellent academic performance in undergraduate or graduate school
- Strong desire to help others reach their goals and enjoy teaching and problem-solving
- Availability to tutor a minimum of 2-5 hours per week during the fall and spring semester
- Responsive to session requests
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background in teaching methodology, instruction, or experience tutoring at the college level, such as in a math or learning lab or writing center
- Ability to support another subject, such as algebra, college writing, chemistry, or statistics
