      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide in-person, telephonic, or virtual support for clients entering Leader Dog programs
      - Review applications to assess emotional fitness for program participation
      - Communicate with applicants and mental health professionals to gather relevant information
      - Offer grief support and resources for community services related to vision loss
      - Develop strategies and programs for ongoing client psychosocial support

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in social work or a mental health-related field required
      - Fully licensed in the professional field of practice or license eligible at time of hire
      - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the mental health field preferred
      - Experience in the guide dog lifestyle or working with blind or visually impaired individuals preferred
      - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality

      - Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
      - Ability to initiate difficult conversations with compassion and empathy
      - Proficiency in current versions of Microsoft Office programs
      - Familiarity with the guide dog industry and its lifestyle
      - Comfort working around large dogs
