What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Obtain authorization and benefit verification for new guests in the Physical Therapy service line
- Ensure CPT and ICD-10 coding are supported by clinical documentation
- Manage workflow of assigned accounts and prioritize issues to meet authorization deadlines
- Conduct follow-ups on prior authorizations and address authorization denials
- Assist with clinic correspondence and respond to guest communications in a timely manner
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Familiarity and understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Ability to read clinical notes and extract necessary data for authorization approval
- Extensive knowledge of health insurance billing processes and provider plans
- Proficiency in using PM/EMR systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in health insurance billing and familiarity with payer contracts
- Demonstrated proactive leadership skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Enthusiastic attitude and strong active listening skills
