      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct interviews to determine eligibility for child care assistance and services
      - Process applications and analyze information to ensure accurate benefit determinations
      - Finalize applications and reapplications based on verified information
      - Refer clients to necessary services and ensure language access for limited English proficient clients
      - Authorize subsidy payments and manage client notifications regarding overpayments

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - One year of experience conducting financial eligibility determinations for public assistance programs
      - A Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience may substitute for one year of experience
      - Six months of experience as a Public Benefits Specialist 1 for advancement to Public Benefits Specialist 2
      - Nine months of experience as a Public Benefits Specialist 2 for advancement to Public Benefits Specialist 3
      - Valid driver's license required for state business operations

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Demonstrated experience in a high-volume customer service environment
      - One year of experience working in a call center
      - Prior experience determining eligibility for public programs
