- Develop and implement impactful public health policies, strategies, and projects.
- Advise on cross cutting policies and programmes of public health relevance.
- Ensure evidence-based practices influence policy and strategy, particularly in relation to prevention and the wider determinants of health.

Public Health Specialist (754)
Pay grade: PO7 - £55,845 pa inc LW rising in annual increments £58,995 pa
Contract type: Fixed Term for 36 Months
Working hours: 35 hours per week, full time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Specialist to drive change and reduce health inequalities across Lambeth through embedding a Health in All Policies approach. A key focus of the role will be supporting Lambeth to become an Age Friendly borough.
About the role:
The successful candidate will apply their public health skills in a range of spheres and work with senior managers, elected members, and strategic and policy leads in the Council, NHS, communities and other statutory, voluntary and community organisations to improve population health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. Emphasis will be on addressing the wider determinants of health through partnership working. Immediate priorities include, leading the ageing well agenda in Lambeth to meet its commitment to becoming an Age Friendly borough. Areas of work may change over time.
The post holder will have experience of working in public health settings or similar withskills and competencies to lead on specific aspects of public health.
The post will provide development opportunities for people with post-MSc experience of public health who are interested in furthering their Public Health career.
