What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Assist in the development of agricultural policy for the organization
- Conduct legislative meetings with county Farm Bureaus and outside groups
- Support county Farm Bureaus in their local legislative activities
- Lobby elected officials on behalf of the organization
- Research legislation and write position papers

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in agriculture, political science, or related field
- Proven record of responsibility and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in computer skills and ability to make presentations

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

- Experience in the agricultural industry or with Farm Bureau organizations
- Previous experience in legislative research and writing
- Ability to speak in public and lead meetings
