What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform audits to verify the accuracy of financial information in utility cases and issue data requests to clarify information
- Review and develop positions regarding the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) and support testimony related to WACC components
- Utilize financial models such as CAPM and DCF to develop the equity component of WACC
- Participate in working groups to develop proceedings or policy recommendations for the Director and other stakeholders
- Present expert testimony at Arizona Corporation Commission hearings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and practices
- Expertise in financial modeling and analysis
- Basic understanding of public utility regulation and ratemaking
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with Google Docs
- Valid state-issued driver license appropriate to the assignment
