What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist buyers in establishing and monitoring key performance metrics for inventory management
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support inventory activities
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners regarding discrepancies and solutions
- Execute solutions for receiving discrepancies and manage transfer orders for the warehouse
- Support the creation and maintenance of purchase orders and price adjustments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within retail or merchandise management
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to build relationships with store personnel and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and work both independently and as part of a team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
- Experience with inventory management systems and processes
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a retail environment
- Familiarity with advertising processes and merchandise sampling
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities
