What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct farm visits to evaluate feeding programs and recommend nutritional solutions for cattle and equine owners
- Make up to 25 sales calls per week to develop new prospects and grow market share for Purina products
- Organize and lead educational meetings/events for various community groups to enhance brand visibility
- Provide accurate feeding and management recommendations based on ruminant husbandry practices
- Network within the industry to foster relationships and generate additional business opportunities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related field strongly desired
- Proven sales experience, particularly in the agricultural or animal nutrition sectors
- Basic understanding of nutritional and feeding recommendations for cattle and equine animals
- Competent in using MS Office and able to learn ration balancing software (HerdSmart) and Salesforce
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

- Strong public speaking skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences
- Previous experience in relationship building and networking within the agricultural industry
