Department Overview

At Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.

Job Description

At Motorola Solutions, our co-ops don’t wash cars or do coffee runs. They also don’t work on side projects. Our co-ops are treated like embedded members on our agile teams and are given the opportunity to learn what being a tester is like in the real world. You’ll have the opportunity to learn new technologies and best practices in coding, testing and automation. You’ll learn about agile development, testing automation and how the work we do contribute to our global business through the SAP and Salesforce environments. You’ll also have a lot of fun and make a lot of friends.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with a team of QA analysts to translate business requirements through functional, system integration and regression testing
• Assist with the development and execution of detailed test plans, test cases, test data and test scripts including documentation of supporting artifacts
• Consult with the development and project teams to coordinate and test applications
• Track Backlog items and prepare Test Readiness Review Checklists, creating and following Test Execution Plan.
• Complete defects report and tracking to resolution
• Troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and support development team to provide resolutions
• Detect, report, and explain defects effectively

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
• Foundational knowledge of Agile development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus
• Self-motivated, strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Enrollment in an university undergraduate or graduate program
