      The QA, Chemical Processing Leader plays a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of standard methodologies for chemical processing across the company and its suppliers. This position involves ensuring adherence to corporate policies, conducting quality control testing, and maintaining systems for data collection and dissemination. The QA, Chemical Processing Leader will also assist in developing training programs, participate in industry committees, and support special projects to enhance and optimize chemical processing techniques.

      Primary Duties & Responsibilities

      • Assist in developing and implementing standard PCC special process methodologies for Chemical Processing across PCC and suppliers.
        • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures for chemical processing.
        • Conduct periodic quality control testing, including witness testing and round robin testing, to monitor results and ensure process control and capability.
      • Support the creation and maintenance of systems for collecting and disseminating process inputs and outputs.
        • Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards with metrics to ensure consistent and sustained program deployment across the corporation.
      • Participate in developing and sustaining structured training and competency assessment programs for leadership and personnel.
      • Contribute to the community of testing Subject Matter Experts to drive standardization and best practices across PCC.
      • Incorporate zero defect methodologies into risk-based programs, including the use of aerospace standard tools (e.g., PFDs, PFMEAs, MSA, process capability and control, control plans).
        • Assess the impact of human factors and implement mistake-proofing methodologies to mitigate risk.
      • Participate in industry committees (e.g., Nadcap, ASTM) to collaborate and leverage best practices and requirements from aerospace, regulatory, and customer requirements.
      • Assist in developing new techniques and methodologies for enhancing and optimizing special processes, focusing on best value.
      • Serve as a liaison with sites, divisions, suppliers, and customers for chemical processing issues.

      Required Experience and Education

      • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
      • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with NADCAP Chemical Processing.
      • Experience in aerospace quality/technical positions and familiarity with aerospace customer and regulatory requirements.
      • Experience with Zero Defect Methodology and statistical process control.
      • Experience working in cross-functional teams in a large organization.
      • Knowledge of quality methods and problem-solving tools (8D, Six Sigma, PFDs, FMEA, process control).
      • Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical software preferred.
      • Ability to travel up to 60% to PCC and supplier facilities.
