      Job Description

      As a QA Analyst at NREL, you will bring a depth of knowledge in QA testing of applications. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications, websites, and other technical products, to identify and resolve bugs, defects and other potential issues. In addition, you will be working with a team to design automated tests to validate application performance while increasing QA processing speed.

      Duties shall include:
      • Conducts testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines
      • Regression, Integration, and Automation testing of web and client-server applications
      • Collaborate with engineers to assure that testing requirements are clear and well documented prior to testing
      • Identifies, logs, and recreates error codes, bugs, and defects
      • When a product does not perform within specifications, reports defects to programmers while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates
      • Performs all other duties assigned


      Basic Qualifications
      Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 3 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD or equivalent relevant education/experience. Complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts and techniques in specific field. General knowledge of related IS disciplines. Strong leadership and project management skills. Skilled in analytical techniques, practices and problem solving. Advanced programming, design and analysis abilities with various computer software programs and information systems.

      * Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.

      Additional Required Qualifications
      • Experience with QA automation technologies such as Tricentis/Tosca
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Demonstrated knowledge of structured testing and thorough understanding of quality assurance testing applications and concepts
      • Proven experience testing cloud-hosted/customer facing web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment
      • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
      • Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications
      • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

      Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
      Job Profile: IT Professional III / Annual Salary Range: $79,600 - $143,300
