• Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the quality assurance strategy for Data Engineering projects, ensuring robust testing methodologies are in place across on-premises and Azure environments.
  • Manage a team of QA engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive testing frameworks and processes for data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Design and implement rigorous testing protocols for ETL processes and data transformation to align with organizational needs.
  • Lead initiatives in automating testing procedures, utilizing industry-standard tools such as Apache Airflow and dbt to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and data engineers, to drive improvements in data quality and system performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data engineering testing to lead best practices and innovation.

  Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in quality assurance within Data Engineering, including hands-on experience with Data Bricks and SQL testing.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing QA teams, with strong proficiency in data pipeline and ETL testing.
  • In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and a track record of successful data model and integration testing projects.
  • Expertise in automation testing, with familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a strategic approach to quality assurance.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
