Responsibilities What we’re looking for: We are looking for a Quality Assurance/Control Manager to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located in Aeroton, Gauteng reporting to the Operations Manager. The role is responsible to lead the FSQ agenda for the Aeroton bakery and ensure compliance on all FSQ metrics, own the implementation of the food safety program and compliance with AIB requirements, perform compliance and systems audits on all internal systems and processes, and on external parties handling the company's products, handle the quality related aspects of customers/ supplier complaints and authorise the use of packaging and packaging artwork processes for local and export use. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following: Document and manage quality processes Develop and implement quality management (QM) plan and improve QM procedures Conduct and moderate internal and external QM audits Test and control raw materials, packaging & finished products Timeously resolve customer complaints & product returns Manage own team. Influence the Supply Chain Bakery team to enhance compliance to food safety standards. Ensure employees are trained on QM systems, policies & procedures and records thereof are retained in line with expected standards Qualifications What will qualify you for the role At least 5 to 6 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance/Control supervisory role. Experience in Food Manufacturing is a requirement Three-year qualification or equivalent in food technology/ quality assurance or similar Analytical skills Problem solving skills Team Player Innovative Leadership Skills Ability to drive change Self-driven “PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
