Job Description

- Inspect the identity, quality, and uniformity of work in process and finished goods
- Perform daily quality control checks at startup of production and during shift operation
- Maintain accurate quality assurance and quality control records
- Sampling and release of raw materials
- Monitor and record environmental factors of the plant facility on a daily basis
- Perform sampling and physical testing of production runs of powdered blends, tablets, and capsules
- Maintain control of retention samples and storage area
- Physically release work in process and finished product from Metagenics
- Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Record and track process deviations and non-conforming materials
- A strong communicator and collaborator and work effectively with all members of the organization, from individual contributors to top execs
- Highly analytical and strategic. Your problem-solving skills are unparalleled
- You always maintain a friendly disposition — even (and especially) under pressure
- Quick on your feet! When problems arise, you reliably produce responses and solutions
- High School diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
- Vocational training or 6-12 months experience in production or quality control
- Understanding of the production planning and processes
- Familiar with writing, revising, and implementing SOPs
- Strong computer skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible to perform a variety of QA/QC duties
- Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
- Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
- Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
- May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
- Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
- Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
- Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
- Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments

The Role
This position is responsible for ensuring a quality product is being made throughout the manufacturing
process. Performs the inspection and evaluation of daily production operations to ensure all manufacturing
activities conform to Metagenics standards and follow GMP guidelines. This is a second shift hourly full-time position (2:30pm-11pm daily).

Compensation
The current range for this role based out of Gig Harbor, WA is $22.00/hr to $22.50/hr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
