Qualifications

Essential

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience in the provision of CHC in health or social care services for adults.
• Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
• Management/leadership qualification/experience

Desirable

• Current clinical professional registration / clinical qualification (e.g. NMC nursing or therapy).
• Relevant post basic academic / professional qualification at higher degree level or equivalent.
• Safeguarding Adults Level 3

Knowledge

Essential

• Minimum of 3 years management experience gained in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent knowledge around National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS-funded Nursing Care [revised July 2022]
• Experience of working with young people, adults, parents / carers and families
• Implementation of national policy

Desirable

• Experience of Commissioning
• Experience of the wider mental health and learning disability sector and aware of the current priorities
• Experience of research and development

Skills

Essential

• Adaptability, flexibility and ability to cope with uncertainty and change
• Demonstrates a strong desire to improve performance and make a difference by focusing goals.
• Clear evidence of successfully working with a wide range of external organisations, patients and the public
• Resilience in complex and demanding situations
• Ability to facilitate negotiations and manage challenging workplace situations

• Numerical and financial ability sufficient to, analyse / monitor performance activity and develop cases where necessary
• Demonstrates awareness of current National Health priorities
