      Description

      Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a full-time Quality Improvement Specialist to drive organization-wide quality and performance improvement initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring that improvement programs are data-driven and aligned with strategic priorities. The specialist will also support data collection, reporting for regulatory compliance, and help teams improve workflow efficiency while maximizing EHR functionality.

      The Quality Improvement team collaborates with all AMHR programs to analyze data, set measurable goals, and monitor change effectiveness. The ideal candidate excels in a collaborative environment, demonstrates critical thinking, and is customer-driven. They must also be comfortable managing multiple high-priority tasks while driving continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.

      Schedule. Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Hybrid schedule, one day onsite per week minimum, additional onsite days as needed. AMHR provides 24/7 services, the occasional need for hours/days outside of M-F, 8-5 may arise.

      Salary for this role.

      Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.

      • $73,832.21 – $110,748.33 per year.

      Essential Functions:

      • Monitor and continuously improve client satisfaction, safety, and quality of care at AMHR.
      • Develop and implement performance improvement programs encompassing all agency departments and disciplines.
      • Collect and analyze data to identify and prioritize potential areas for improvement, set measurable goals, and monitor the effectiveness of change.
      • Ensure the agency is in compliance with standards of care and is meeting or exceeding benchmarks.
      • Ensure organizational compliance with licensure and regulatory standards (Medicare, Medicaid, HCPF, CDPHE, DHS, DOE etc.).

      Qualifications


      Requirements:

      • Minimum of a Bachelors degree. Masters preferred.
      • Excellent understanding of healthcare, clinical service delivery, process improvement and regulatory compliance.
      • Experience in Quality Improvement and/or behavioral healthcare preferred.
      • Six sigma/Lean certification preferred.
      • Problem Solving: Effectively analyzes potential for risk and acts decisively. Exercises good judgment by making sound and well-informed decisions. Must possess the ability to set priorities and avoid crisis management.
      • Critical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to formulate a workable solution to a complex problem, through deliberating about what course of action to take, or analyzing the assumptions and the quality of the methods used in scientifically arriving at a reasonable level of confidence about a given hypothesis. Ability employ logic, clarity, credibility, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, significance, and fairness.
      • Data Analysis: Secures relevant information and identifies key issues relationships from a base of information.Relates and compares data from different sources. Identifies cause-effect relationships. Employs root-cause analysis to define, assess and prioritize problems, identify solutions and implement sustainable change. Ability to understand complex problems and processes.
      • Organizational Awareness: Understands and uses the organizations structure, operations, decision making channels, planning processes, and financial budgeting/control systems to identify potential organizations problems and opportunities.
      • Project Management: Ability to plan and organize resources in order to move a specific task, event or duty toward completion. Define the goals and objectives of the project, determines when the various components are to be completed and by whom, and create quality control checks to ensure that completed components meet a certain standard. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects.
      • Communication: strong written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate complex problems and processes and explain them in a way that people will understand across all levels of the organization.
      • Customer Service: Demonstrated commitment to customer service. Demonstrated ability to perform basic mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook) Windows, Visio as well as Electronic Health Record systems (SmartCare).

      Required Vaccination.
