Shifts available:

• All training will take place on 1st shift and then individuals will be moved to their assigned shift.

How YOU will make an impact:

• Daily inspection of plastic parts to ensure conformity to company engineering and quality standards.
• Cross trains as a back-up to the Associate Quality Control Specialist when there are specific labor shortages.
• Effectively communicates quality issues to other functions when observations are observed during Work-In Process Incoming and Assembly inspections.
• Conduct multiple visual and/or dimensional inspections of parts from all appropriate molding cells, daily.
• Other duties as assigned and as stated in the full job description.

You’ll also need to be able to:

• Apply company quality standards and make appropriate evaluation of all products.
• Work in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Wear protective gloves and equipment to handle parts when applicable.
• Functional understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
• Maintain a consistent, positive attitude and approach to adversity and challenges.
• Provide suggestions for and support continuous improvement activities within the department

Qualifications to be successful:

• GED or High School diploma required.
• Associates degree in a specialized field such as science or technology with approximately 1 year of experience in a quality control/assurance role.
• Prior QA experience preferred.
• Well developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write short correspondence.
• Experience working in the injection molding industry.

Day to day environment:

• SAFE & clean environment
• Dress Code – Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required. For those working in the Clean Room, additional gowning is required and will be provided, daily.
• You’ll be working around large machines, forklifts and welders.
• Climate control temperatures and all work is conducted inside.
