      Quality Test Engineer x10+ (Mid to Senior Grade)

      Lloyds Banking Group

      Leeds, Halifax, Chester or Manchester: Hybrid working pattern, 2 days per week in your chosen office location & rest from home

      Salary & Benefits: £62,874 to £76,846 base salary depending on location and experience.

      Additional Package: Annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), flexible benefits system, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

      Where does the role sit?

      We’re the central hiring team at Lloyds Banking Group and we run the recruitment for roles that are always needed and in high demand across the group.

      We are always hiring for good quality engineers!

      You’ll be taken through a centralised application, technical testing, and interviewing process, then if successful offered one of our available roles depending on your chosen location.

      We currently have over 50 Quality Engineering positions available across a range of divisions and locations in the UK.

      What exactly does a Quality Test Engineer do at Lloyds?

      Depending on your level of seniority you’ll either take accountability or support running and leading testing across our monthly release cycle, assuring the quality of delivery into these releases. You’ll also manage the raising of defects and backlog items for addressing defects within the current sprint or for prioritisation for future sprints.

      We’ve got a wide range of roles, some of which are working within a team of quality engineers while other roles may be stand alone as part of the quality engineering community.

      We operate in an Agile software engineering environment using modern DevOps methods, continuous improvement & modern software stacks.

      Example of Specific Activities:

      • Automating testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards.

      • Use your experience of modern software development toolsets and demonstrate the ability to stretch into DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines.

      • Supporting Quality Engineering and Assurance work ensuring the highest quality of shippable products and quality artifacts.

      • Develop yourselves with industry standards, methods and tooling used across our engineering teams and introduce new concepts, approaches and tooling.

      What do we need to see from your application?

      We’re keen to see diverse and varied applications, however as this is a technology role in a niche industry area we’ll need to see the following as a minimum to be considered for interview;

      • Essential to have a deep understanding of Frameworks and have developed as least one automation framework using libraries in either Selenium or Playwright.

      • Intermediate competency competent in JavaScript/typescript

      • Competent using Windows Command Line (CLI)

      • Experienced with Source control (GitHub Enterprise preferred)

      • Experienced with build tools such as Maven and Node Package Manager (NPM)

      • Experience of modern Agile software engineering practices

      • Good communication & interpersonal skills plus ability to work in a team.

      • knowledge in other languages: C#, Java, python, VBS.

      • Containerisation experience e.g. docker and how this can be used in a test automation context.

      • Desirable to have CI/CD experience e.g. Jenkins.
