- To work within both IRMER 2017 and local protocols

- Prepared to undertake any non-mandatory courses relevant to the post
- Remain calm in fast paced environment
- Provide safe and calming atmosphere to patients who have phobias
- Demonstrate an interest in Radiology or similar imaging field
- MRI safety knowledge

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radiology Department at North Manchester General Hospital and working at Victoria Breast Unit, at Royal Oldham Hospital.

There will be some time spent working in the general radiology department but most of the shifts you will work within the breast scanning units at both Oldham and North Manchester Hospitals.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology Department Assistant works as part of the Radiology team, providing an efficient, high quality and patient focused imaging service.
You will be expected to liaise and care for patients in a professional manner and will be expected, over time, to develop skills and experience across multiple imaging modalities.
You will provide assistance to qualified staff before, during and after imaging examinations undertaken in the department or other hospital locations and give the necessary direct care as required to the patient throughout their imaging care pathway.
