Job Title: Reach Forklift / Order Picker

Job Description

As a Reach Forklift / Order Picker, you will be working in a facility that handles medical supplies, where attention to detail is crucial. Your primary responsibilities will include operating a reach forklift, manual lifting, inventory management, and using RF scanners. This position also involves maintaining the facility and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach forklift 80% of the time
• Manually lift products 20% of the time
• Assist with inventory management
• Put away and replenish products
• Pick products using RF scanner
• Maintain the facility and warehouse grounds
• Dispose of garbage and recycling using a waste compactor
• Coordinate garbage bin pick-ups
• Work with outsourced contractors to coordinate access
• Perform minor warehouse repairs using power tools
• Assist in picking orders, replenishment, and put away
• Perform daily warehouse inspections and report damages
• Comply with regulatory GMP and corporate policies
• Uphold safety policies and safe work practices
• Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor or Distribution Manager

Essential Skills

• Forklift certification
• Proficiency in operating reach forklift and order picker
• Experience with RF scanners
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse
• 3rd party certification in forklift and order picker operation
• Experience handling medical supplies
• Inventory control experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a medical warehouse

Work Environment

This role is based in a temperature-controlled medical warehouse dealing with vaccines and other medical products. The environment includes room temperature areas (60% of the time), cooler environments (35% of the time), and freezer environments (5% of the time). The shift is from 7am to 3:30pm, with training for the first two weeks from 9am to 5:30pm. The team consists of 13 people, and employees are expected to dress appropriately for cooler conditions.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
