      Job Description

      Brookfield Property Group (BPG) is seeking an Associate to support the Senior Vice President of Private Real Estate Funds in the capital raising / fund management activities of Brookfield’s Private Real Estate Funds business.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      Co-investment Process for Real Estate Transactions:

      • Support senior team members in the co-investment process for various transactions

      • Create/review material used to market co-investment opportunities to institutional investors

      • Work with investment teams to respond to investor requests during the co-investment process

      • Work with legal/compliance teams to approve material prior to external distribution

      Client Relationships:

      • Prepare material for meetings with key clients

      • Respond to certain information requests from key clients

      • Provide summaries for new investments – sourcing, thesis, business plan, key metrics etc. (information used to update key clients on investment activity)

      • Provide value creation updates for existing investments (information used to update key clients on value creation initiatives)

      Fundraising for Brookfield’s Global Opportunistic Fund Series:

      • Work with Brookfield’s fundraising team throughout the fundraising process

      • Consolidate investment and market information from sector and regional heads to disseminate to fundraising roadshow team

      • Support the preparation of materials required for the launch of new funds – teach-in material, pitch books, due diligence questionnaires etc.

      • Prepare responses to certain fundraising requests

      Strategic Initiatives:

      • Help to prepare material to evaluate the launch of new investment vehicles

      • Manage the collection of investor data – investment preferences, target returns, restrictions, sizing, process etc.

      • Assist in seeking the approval of fund Limited Partner Advisory Committees on certain matters

      • Participate in the development of various other strategic initiatives within the real estate business

      Separately Managed Accounts:

      • Assist in the management of Brookfield’s separately managed accounts

      • Prepare quarterly reports

      • Work with portfolio management teams to prepare investment update material

      • Assist in the preparation of material seeking approval for new separate account investments

      Candidate Profile:

      • Bachelor’s Degree required

      • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, capital markets, private markets fundraising or alternative investments

      • Real estate experience is preferred

      • Capital raising knowledge is a plus but not required

      • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      • Strong work ethic and desire to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

      • Team-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude

      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

      Salary Range: $130,000-160,000

      Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
