      Pay: Starting Range is $20.50 - $22.50, depending on work experience

      PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Originate, review, and analyze applications and credit documents within loan policies and guidelines as established by secondary market government sponsored entities, Credit Union management and the Board of Directors.

      Lending authority is based on performance and overall knowledge of the mortgage products and responsibilities listed in Policy 2 – Loan Policies.

      Ensure loan documents and lending policies and practices conform to the loan policies and external regulatory and statutory compliance requirements.

      Interview and counsel loan applicants.

      Describe real estate loan products and assist applicants with completion of the loan application.

      Discuss key aspects of financing such as rates, terms, and payment amounts.

      Interpret credit bureau reports, title policies, appraisals, etc.

      Provide information on various insurance programs.

      Provide member(s) with all required disclosures and documents for signature.

      Assist in training new loan officers and other personnel, as needed.

      Assist in the implementation of new loan products and services in accordance with management direction.

      Cross-sell other lending products and Credit Union services.

      Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.

      Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior and performance).

      Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

      Work cooperatively with others.

      All other duties as assigned.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Education/Experience – High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred and one year experience in mortgage loan origination or four year’s experience in mortgage loan processing. Any other equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position. Must be eligible for or registered/licensed with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as required by the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions.
