- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system.
- Process requests for appointments, prescriptions, test results and other general enquiries.
- Signposting patients to the correct service.
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Registering new patients.
- Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient’s healthcare records
- Input data into patient's healthcare records as necessary.
- Monitor and maintain the reception area.
- Support clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
- Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota.
- Respecting the privacy, dignity, needs and beliefs of patients, carers and colleagues.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance.
- Effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
- Participation in an annual individual performance review (appraisal).
- Completion of mandatory training and other training as deemed necessary for the role by management.

Job summary
Bevan Medical Group is looking to welcome a motivated, enthusiastic receptionist into our team.
You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, in person and over the phone.
You will assist patients to access the most appropriate service and healthcare professionals, suitable for their needs, in a courteous, efficient manner.
