      Why this job matters:

      Greet and provide support to customers, triage incoming calls, schedule appointments, order supplies and provide general administrative support services to retail staff.

      What you will do:

      • Greet and triage all in-person customers and incoming calls to appropriate staff (sales, service, group, corporate).
      • Schedule customer appointments for retail staff.
      • Responsible for office supply ordering and material inventory.
      • Record and track premium payment
      • Provide technical assistance to customer including kiosk and web registration support.
      • Maintain logs of customer sign-ins and traffic. Maintain calendar of monthly store events and track participation.
      • Review enrollment and plan change documents for accuracy.
      • Monitor fax and mailboxes.
      • Assist with monthly reporting.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      What you need to succeed:

      • High school degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Up to two years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative support role
      • Computer navigation skills
      • Written and verbal communications skills
      • Time management skills
      • Ability to collect and organize data
      • Ability to work independently

      Extras:

      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, and Word

      Location:
      BCBSRI is headquartered in downtown Providence, conveniently located near the train station and bus terminal. We actively support associate well-being and work/life balance and offer the following schedules, based on role:

      • In-office: onsite 5 days per week
      • Hybrid: onsite 2-4 days per week
      • Remote: onsite 0-1 days per week. Permitted to reside in the following states, pending approval from the Human Resources Department: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Virginia.
