      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Undergraduate Centre at Russells Hall Hospital as a Receptionist/Administration Support The post holder's primary responsibilities will be to provide a professional front line customer service for the Centre. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service, organisational and administrative skills with an ability to communicate professionally with all levels of staff within the Trust.

      Main duties of the job

      To provide a professional front line customer service in person and/or by phone or email within the Undergraduate Centre. To refer telephone callers appropriately to the right team members and direct visitors to the appropriate centres/staff. This role will also provide administration support on a range of medical educational programmes to support the professional running of the Undergraduate Centre.

      Essential

      • Educated to GCSE (Grade C/Level 4 or above) or equivalent, to include English Language and Maths

      Desirable

      • NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent

      Knowledge and Training

      • Ability to deal positively with different personalities in a customer service environment
      • Accurate keyboard and data entry skills
      • Working knowledge and strong IT skills to include experience of Microsoft Office/Teams

      Experience

      • Experience of working in a busy reception/office environment
      • Dealing efficiently and politely with both internal and external queries
      • Previous experience working as part of a team

      Desirable

      • Customer service experience
