The District of West Vancouver’s Legislative Services Division has an opening for, casual Records/FIPPA Analyst to assist with the administration and implementation of the corporate Records and Information Management Program, including:
Reporting to the Manager, Records & Privacy, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Assisting with corporate records storage, retrieval, maintenance, review, & processing;
· Preparing authorization for destruction forms and assisting in the records destruction process;
· Assisting with Corporate File Plan revisions and development;
· Assisting with the development and provision of corporate records training and related training materials.
· Assisting with the appraisal of records for suitability to transfer to archives;
· Updating website and intranet with pertinent records information; and
· Other assigned duties as required.
The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary diploma or greater degree in a related field, supplemented by certifications in Records Management or FIPPA plus related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to: perform detailed work accurately and efficiently; meet strict deadlines; interact tactfully and effectively with the public; maintain effective working relation ships; communicate in a clear and concise manner; work well within a team; maintain complex records; and perform diversified tasks with minimal supervision.
The preferred candidate will possess considerable knowledge of both Records Management and FIPPA, including applicable legislation, rules, regulations, and best practices. Extensive experience and/or training in Microsoft Office and with web-based communication tools is considered an asset.
The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.

Rate of Pay:
Up to 20 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)
$33.70 - $37.90 per hour (2023 rates)
