      Your opportunity:
      Reporting to the Director, Recruitment and Admissions, and working closely with the Assistant Director, the Recruitment and Admissions Officer is crucial to the efficient and effective recruitment and admission of candidates for the Specialized Master programs.

      Early and highly personalized communication with prospective students is fundamental to recruitment and the Recruitment & Admissions Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting this process. The successful incumbent will provide input into the development and implementation of the recruitment and admissions strategies for these programs.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicants
      • Entering, updatingand maintaining application databases
      • Fostering positive relationships with prospective students through effective and timely communication
      • Preparing recruitment and admission reports, conducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
      • Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
      • Promoting programs at recruitment events
      • Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or related field or acceptable
        combination of equivalent experience.
      • Minimum four years related experience in recruitment, admissions, sales or marketing environment.
      • Experience in writing marketing correspondence and preparing presentations.
      • Experience in event planning
      • Experience with tasks requiring attention to detail and good organizational skills.
      • Experience reviewing applications in reference to admission requirements
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
      • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service and advising students
      • Superior organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet competing priorities and deadlines
      • Strong knowledge of computer sotware; experience in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and otherrelated software
      • Knowledge of and experience with databases and student information systems
      • Ability to multi-task; strong organizational skill


      Assets (Nonessential):

      • Knowledge of ROSI.
      • Knowledge of Salesforce

      USW Pay Band 12 -- $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
