Job Description

- Support and plan the effective and timely delivery of projects or trials, as prescribed by the regional manager to support business implementation.
- Engage in a compelling & positive manner when supporting on projects, tailoring communication to different audiences to gain buy in, supporting the embedding and sustainability of change.
- Identify key issues, risks and actions to support achieve regional objectives, reporting progress effectively and concisely to the regional manager to help with prioritising. Develop and manage good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders within all areas of the group to support the delivery of business change.
- Review and analyse store and regional performance against KPI measures, identifying areas of opportunity for you or the regional manager and organising coaching where required.
- Take responsibility for organising, coordinating and facilitating elements of team meetings aimed at the development of the regional team, including the organisation and facilitation of internal and external meetings.
- Investigate & manage, through to resolution, any issues or queries raised to (or by) the regional manager in a timely manner, to the required standard, liaising with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Using your own judgement prioritise all communications to the regional manager, understanding the content and context, and communicating on to the region any key messages deemed necessary.
- Support with the review and preparation of communications on behalf of the regional manager, making sure they are correct, accurate and delivered in a timely manner, challenging and redrafting where appropriate.
- Pro-actively and accurately maintain key talent documentation for the region, taking ownership of relevant communications and meeting preparation to support.
- Manage the process for creating, collating and prioritising all information, papers and presentations required well in advance for any meetings, to ensure sufficient time is given to enable the regional manager to adequately prepare.
- Support with the completion of regional manager administrative activities, such as diary management, store manager payroll, scheduling and holiday booking processes.
- Plan and manage travel efficiently to deliver regional cost lines within agreed expense budgets, ensuring all expenses are actioned correctly whilst complying with the company policy, challenging any discrepancies and highlighting these to the regional manager.
- Maintain an accurate record of regional talent spend on pre-appointments budgets, ensuring delivery of the annual budget.
- Knowledge of Retail Operations and all processes
- Be able to use digital technically to a confident level
- Show a willingness / eagerness to develop and learn about the wider group and external environment relevant to role
- Knowledge and understanding of change management and agile ways of working
- Have experience with and be able to demonstrate strong skills of managing and using data, insight and external detail to manage through to resolution
- The ability to demonstrate engagement and confidently communicate to different levels across the business
- Experience of managing numerous complex administration processes
- To have well developed problem solving capabilities within retail
- Have an appreciation of meeting facilitation and coaching skills
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively, to support the delivery of operational excellence within your region.
- Good judgement skills. Should be able to demonstrate previous experience of identifying opportunities, solutions and priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, inspiring a positive change mentality.
- Ability to engage and gain trust of colleagues and management teams at all levels of seniority.
- A proactive member of the regional team that constantly bring ideas and thoughts to discussion.
