      Regional Financial Services Manager
      Hondros College of Nursing
      Remote (Ohio)

      The Regional Financial Services Manager is responsible for performing general accounting/business office-related duties; with a strong emphasis on student support regarding financial aid, ledgers, payment plans, and collection of documents. The Regional Financial Services Manager will be cross trained in Financial Aid and Bursar Departments to ensure students are prepared and ready financially to begin their enrollment. This is a remote role for an individual based in the Ohio market as there will be travel within our Ohio campus locations and corporate office.

      Responsibilities:
      1.Payment Plans – Student Support

      • Review Campus specific financial aid reports in order to complete PFEs and setting up payment plans
      • Create and deliver deferred payment plans (DPP) to students
      • Create and deliver TILA forms to students
      • Collect and maintain all student business office documents and load into student management system
      • Maintain weekly communication plans to the students and campus leadership on progression to be financially ready
      • Manage and assist with student inquiries regarding payment plans, balance due, and ledgers.
      • Assist in weekly collection reporting for student payment plans

      #2. Student Financial Aid

      • Review student financial aid applications and other documentation for completeness and accuracy utilizing Global Financial Aid Services
      • Counsel on the financial aid process
      • Present options on available financial aid resources

      #3. Performance Management

      • Assess associate performance, provide feedback, and support development through regular coaching sessions and annual reviews for direct reports
      • Make recommendations for individual and team development based on performance reviews, and provide guidance and coaching to direct reports on an ongoing basis
      • Oversee personnel activities, including interviewing and hiring associates as necessary, etc.
      • Encourage professional growth and foster cooperation amongst staff members and departments

      #4. Student Finance – Customer Service

      • Conduct Veteran's Administration Activities which may include the role of VA Certifying Official
      • Conduct accounting receivable interviews with new or readmits as necessary based on campus needs
      • Provides financial literacy for students regarding payment options and payment plans. When necessary, resolves problems and questions with students regarding student finances. Contacts and initiates the settling of student account balances in escalated or special situations.
      • Collaborate with campus leadership on the financial readiness of students and identify at risk students due to non-responsiveness Effectively communicate with campus staff and students to achieve financial documents in a timely manner
      • Inform students of their financial obligation, the institution’s financial aid options, and financial policies and procedures as related to their educational expenses
      • Counsel students on potential resources for financing the student’s educational needs through Title IV, Private Education or other related program eligibility
      • Advise students of their obligation to provide accurate information and the potential consequences.
      • Review disclosure statements for completeness and accuracy
      • Maintain approved tracking system for applications and missing documents to allow for timely follow-up and completion in accordance with college policies and procedures
      • Monitor and follow up on the status of all pending institutional loan documents in order to maintain an accurate accounting of each student’s financial plan through first disbursement
      • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

      #5. Student Finance – Compliance

      • Adhere and maintain the College bursar policies, procedures, documents and best practices
      • Assists in audit preparation and provides information and access to accounting records as required
      • Represents the College to various institutional divisions as well as externally to governmental agencies, vendors, students and their parents, and/or the general public.


      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s preferred
      • Two years accounting/financial experience or equivalent education and experience
      • Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
      • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
      • Knowledge of PC’s and appropriate software
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to interact diplomatically with a variety of individuals at various organizational levels
      • Ability to identify moderately complex administrative issues and problems and resolve or escalate to appropriate individual
      • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
      • Knowledge of basic budgeting procedures
