Regional One-Call Coordinator (Prairies Mainline)

Job Description

- Interpret and process all One-Call tickets within the region and follows through to ensure ticket closure
- Triage tickets to ensure that tickets requiring locating and marking are completed
- Serve as the single point-of-contact for all incoming requests, to prioritize requests and manage resources to locate company assets
- Gather and prepare all paperwork (prints etc.) for use in the field and forward requests to the appropriate personnel
- Act as the damage prevention subject matter expert for the Prairies Pipe team
- Consult maps, files, prints, GIS (Geographic Facility Information System), and other applicable software
- Act as liaison to Field Operations, One-Call Centers in other companies or subsidiaries, and departments, e.g. Pipe Integrity and EH&S
- Train others on TC Energy’s processes and requirements
- Periodically travel to field locations to monitor and evaluate locators
- Participate in the investigation of Unauthorized Activities
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including project managers, construction managers, Damage Prevention, Pipe Integrity, Operations, Engineering and Gas Control personnel
- Generate data reports as needed (pipeline safety, internal efficiency, etc.)
- Maintain and update Pipelines data system for geographic boundaries, buffer zones, etc.
- Suggest process improvements to further enhance safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction and demonstrates strong teamwork
- Applicable technical training
- 5 years of related experience
- Proven ability to comprehend and interpret data received via One-Call Tickets
- Proven knowledge around buried facility locating and One-Call processes
- Demonstrated experience in organizing, scheduling, and planning work to maximize process efficiencies
- Strong PC skills and experience to navigate various Windows-based software and ERP system
- Journeyman ticket in a trade
- Knowledge of all applicable regulatory and company procedure obligations including the DPR
- Demonstrated focus on incident free operations
- Complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (a record) for review
- Travel to other company locations for project support, temporary assignments, meetings or training (may be more than 40% of their time away from home base)
- Extend hours of work as business needs arise
- Fly in small planes and helicopters

Our Mainline / TQM Operations Group is looking to add a Regional One-Call Coordinator to join the Prairies Pipeline Team, based in Emerald Park (Regina), SK; and will ensure that Canadian Gas Operations (CGO) is compliant with procedures and damage prevention regulatory requirements, including locating and marking, crossings and encroachments, and surveillance and monitoring of the right-of-way.
Reporting to the Prairies Pipe Team Manager, this position receives, processes, triages and manages all incoming One-Call requests in a manner that complies with TC Energy’s policies and procedures and meets all regulatory requirements. They provide safe, prompt and efficient response to requests and effectively manage associated resources to ensure locates are executed properly. They oversee the execution of the surveillance and monitoring program within the Prairies Pipe region and ensure that all anomalies are investigated. They will ensure that the supervision of crossings and encroachments is executed in alignment with TC procedures and regulatory requirements
