      The Regional Sales Manager East focuses on the growth of H&C Animal Health in all trade channels, specifically owning National FDMC+ and Regional Pet Specialty Stores. This position leads, owns, and drives sales and business development in their Region to meet agreed-upon annual operating plan goals. Their primary duties include traveling within their assigned territory to meet potential and current customers, negotiating sales contracts and terms, providing product education and technical training, and partnering with brokers and distributors as needed. This role will also develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve business goals. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, self-sufficient, data-driven individual contributor with established relationships within the channel. This position is a remote position with the candidate located in the central or eastern part of the US close to a major airport.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
      • Responsible for selling the H&C portfolio of products to new and existing retail customers.
      • Hunt, prospect, engage, and win new customers to meet AOP goals.
      • Forge and develop strong relationships with key accounts, including retailers, distributors, and brokers.
      • Call on retailers on an ongoing basis to create joint business plans, review in-store priorities, and ensure promotional programming and in-store activation are in place to support sell-through.
      • Leverage data to identify retailer-specific opportunities; develop retailer-specific sales decks.
      • Facilitate technical training for retailers, brokers, and distributors.
      • Oversee sales forecast, set performance goals, and regularly evaluate sales performance KPIs within assigned channels and region.
      • Partner with marketing to develop customer-specific plans and programs while maximizing trade efficiency.
      • Negotiate contracts, terms, and co-op to secure profitable partnerships.
      • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and maintaining open communication.
      • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
      • Represent the company at trade shows, trade association meetings, national account meetings/summits, and other customer events to promote H&C and products.
      • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
      • Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.


      Qualifications Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, communication or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience
      • Animal Health background preferred
      • CPG experience & FDM Channel experience
      • Five (5) years of related experience with progressive management experience
      • Client service and relationship bias
      • Strong data analytic skills

      • Planning/organizing-The individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
      • Quality control-The individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
      • Adaptability-The individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
      • Dependability-The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
      • Up to 50% of overnight travel
