      Kingston Health Sciences Centre, ranked in the top 25 research facilities in Canada, is an Academic Health Centre affiliated with Queen's University and partnered with many other Universities and Colleges in the training and education of Nursing and Health Sciences candidates across the country.

      Our Emergency Department (ED) at the KGH site provides emergency care for 62,000 ill and injured patients a year and is the regional trauma and tertiary care centre. The ED operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is the only hospital site in Kingston that receives patients via ambulance.

      We have a bright and energetic faculty who benefit from the experience and wisdom of some of Canada’s first Emergency Medicine specialists. Our physicians provide academic and clinical expertise in the areas of pre-hospital care, toxicology, resuscitation, simulation, ultrasound and medical education. Our research program supports an active group of primary and collaborative investigators.

      Within this role the Registered Nurse is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston Health Sciences Centre strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.

      BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

      • Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
