- You hold current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- You possess recent senior nursing experience in either critical care nursing or acute care nursing, demonstrating a commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an acute care background and advanced clinical competencies with the ability and confidence to work autonomously to provide safe, compassionate, person centred care to acute patients in a new model of care, the Urgent Care Service (UCS) at Long Jetty.
The UCS specialises in providing care that avoids Emergency Department presentations, hospital avoidance and supports Central Coast residents to access medical care when their regular GP is not available in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. One of the primary objectives of this role is to provide nursing assessment, information, and acute care to patients in the Urgent Care Service in a senior nursing capacity.Roster profile will be a combination of 8 and 12 hour shifts to cover both morning and evening service delivery.

About the Urgent Care Service
The goal of the UCS will provide Urgent Care to the community for minor illness and injuries. Working in collaboration with the UCS multidisciplinary team the UCS Registered Nurse also facilitates care planning through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care which then can be referred on for continuity of care with the Patients regular GP or connected to community or acute care services as appropriate.
