Job summary
We are pleased to announce that we have an opportunity available for a full time Registered Nurses in Gynaecology Outpatients (GOPD).
GOPD is based across all three Trust sites and currently provides a 5-day service to all gynaecology patients. As a Registered Nurse working in GOPD you will gain knowledge, skills and competency in all clinics including general gynaecology, urogynaecology, colposcopy, hysteroscopy and all nurse led clinics, which include injection clinic, bladder treatment clinic and pessary clinic.

Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse working with GOPD once competent you will support the day to day running of the service on one of the Trust sites supporting the clinical activity taking place.
Working within your team you will support the clinician in their clinics acting as a chaperone and patient advocate. Ensuring ongoing investigations are requested and further appointments are planned. Providing information and support to patients whilst they are in the department and throughout any examination or treatment they may receive.
Working in a nurse led clinic following standard operating procedures and administer injections, instillations and perform pessary changes as appropriate.
