What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Greet patients, their families, and the public in a courteous and professional manner
- Interview patients or their representatives to obtain accurate demographic and financial information
- Enter demographic information into the hospital computer system to initiate patient care and treatment
- Prepare, process, and route required paperwork for patient charts and medical records
- Monitor and process transfers and bed swaps, entering required information into the computer system

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of data entry and medical office experience
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to patients' emotional states during registration
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers

- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient registration
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Proficiency in using hospital computer systems and software
