      Regulatory Affairs Manager

      Huhtamaki is currently looking to hire an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager to join ou r global Public Affairs team . Reporting into the Head of Public Affairs , this is a ciritical role responsible for monitoring, analysing and managing policy dossiers, keeping fully up to date on all current and future legislations which could affect Huhtamaki’s products, operations and /or business environment .

      The successful candidate can be based in any of our European locations, with a preference for Finland.

      Responsibilities :

      • Monitors, analyses and manages policy dossiers, keeping fully up to date on all current and future legislations which could affect Huhtamaki’s products, operations and business environment

      • Takes responsibility for global regulatory tracker identifying key legislative risks and opportunities for Huhtamaki on a regular basis

      • Regulatory lead in Global Public Affairs network

      • Acts as central point of contact for segment sustainability and communications technical teams on regulatory topics. Pools information from segments and utilizes information to keep global regulatory tracker always up to date

      • Liaises closely with Group legal team on identified priority regulations

      • Leads regulatory preparedness projects on identified regulations

      • Translate complex regulatory topics into concise executive presentations and policy briefing document

      • Liaises closely with Huhtamaki’s suppliers’ policy teams on regulatory topics

      • Monitors and prepares legislative consultation processes and leads preparation of Huhtamaki’s responses

      • Represents Huhtamaki in cross-segment trade association technical level working groups ( ie . Europen working groups)

      Experience, Education & Skills Required:

      • Preferably 5+ years of experience in a role with similar scope in packaging industry, material supplier, agency or in industry association

      • Work experience in national, EU or UN policy institutions a plus

      • Has business understanding and ability to navigate corporate environment

      • Demonstrated ability to transfer technical regulatory knowledge into explanatory presentations and briefing documents

      • Strong project management skills and capability to deliver

      • Strong capability to network with internal and external stakeholders

      • Fluent in English, Finnish and other EU languages a strong plus
