What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with policy unit program manager and regulatory services section on the development and implementation of tasks related to child care licensure
- Assist in compiling data and reviewing federal reports to meet Child Care Development Fund requirements
- Explain child care laws and rules to various stakeholders including inspectors, agency staff, and child care providers
- Research trends in early care and education and assist with rulemaking and fiscal analysis of regulations
- Provide administrative and consultative support for projects initiated by the department and director’s office
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in planning, implementing, and managing research-based projects and facilitating workgroups
- Experience analyzing complex narrative and statistical data, including state and federal laws
- Demonstrated administrative experience in licensed child care and regulatory consultation
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline with three years of related experience; or Bachelor's degree with five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to deliver accurate information clearly both orally and in writing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in child care regulatory consultation or policy development
- Familiarity with federal child care laws and regulations
- Background in early childhood education or related fields
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data interpretation
- Proven ability to lead focus groups and collaborative meetings
