- Knowledge of disability rights, culture, and history.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography, and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Skill in working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to honor and respect the beliefs, language, interpersonal styles and behaviors of individuals and families receiving services, as well as staff who are providing such services.
- Ability to interpret and use medical and psychological information to make sound decisions.
- Ability to be proactive, organized, and manage caseloads.
- Ability to be sensitive, respectful, and communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and languages. Strong written and oral communication skills; public speaking skills.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services field including but not limited to Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Sciences, and Education including Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education.
- One year of experience in career counseling, social work, or human services. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants.
