What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assess accuracy of billing and conduct reimbursement audits; recommend and assist in implementing corrective actions
- Design specific procedures and systems changes; coordinate with external organizations on projects to maximize reimbursement
- Educate clinic and administrative staff on reimbursement concepts, issues, and processes; prepare training materials and technical documentation
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends in reimbursement denials and develop reports to aid in financial analysis
- Prepare appeals of third-party decisions and manage records and files related to appeals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- If a Bachelor's degree: No experience required
- If an Associate's degree: Four (4) years of experience in business analysis and planning, accounting, finance, health care administration, or database management/analysis
- If a High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of experience in business analysis and planning, accounting, finance, health care administration, or database management/analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in healthcare billing or reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with CPT codes and fee schedule analysis
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-departmental teams
